We have an amazing team of engineers, programmers, musicians and technicians who support our artists in the studio creating the music they love.

GET INVOLVED

One of the overarching aims of the Sound House Project is to equip people with the knowledge and facilities to pursue music independently. SHP have provided a combination of highly-skilled industry professionals and support from local organisations, vocational education, continued support and practical links into the world of professional music as a way of nurturing the next generation of artists, producers and technicians.

Rob Walsh

Technical Lead and Programme Coordinator

Rob joined SHP and Soundhouse in December 2019, after running his own studio since 2016.

With a background of being in bands, recording artists and organising and running live gigs Rob is now managing Soundhouse and loving it.

Petter is a multi-instrumentalist and music producer who plays in London band Francobollo and with singer-songwriter LA Salami. He works as a solo producer creating electronic beats for other artists and for syncing agencies and clients such as GQ magazine.

Petter has over 10 years experience as a practicing professional musician and is qualified in Music Production and Music Technology. He has toured the UK and Europe and has run regular nights of live music as well as an independent record label, Moonshiner Records. He also works as a Live Sound Engineer.

Petter’s practical experience in music and his knowledge of the business, theory and technical elements behind it provides him with the ability to lead a diverse range of sessions and gives him an authoritative position to impart music-education.

Sam Wilkinson

Producer, Engineer and Mixer

A multi-instrumentalist with 15 years experience as a producer, engineer and mixer across a range of music production software.

Ben is a highly skilled musician and producer and part of South East London’s Brigade collective of artists, producers, and videographers. As a Producer and Engineer Ben has a brilliant ear for interesting and diverse sounds and instrumentals as well as a great talent for vocal production.

Having worked with a number of emerging artists on London’s hip-hop scene, Ben has become a valuable member of the Soundhouse team, helping to sculpt a new sound and inspire young artists to develop their production skills. Ben works with a whole host of artists, explaining his production methods as he goes and teaching engineering and beat production to aspiring producers.

Sarah Browne

Musician/Producer

Sarah Browne is a gifted singer-songwriter. Her music speaks for itself and her voice stops listeners in their tracks. Having worked with a number of producers and musicians on a wide variety of tracks, Sarah’s ability to write develops every session and she has a natural magnetism as a performer which leaves gig goers stunned every time. Sarah has created beautifully crafted pop, dark and haunting soul and punchy and exciting hip-hop and R & B, all imbued with her own stamp and what is becoming an iconic voice.
Having come through the project as an artist Sarah now acts as a mentor and vocal coach to other singers and songwriters, working with them in sessions to create new and exciting music.
Sarah’s music career is only just beginning and she has an incredibly bright future ahead of her.

Past Contributors

Charlie Leonard

Credit to Charlie for his hard work and passion getting the soundhouse project to where it is today. Charlie has worked in music and event production for over 10 years on large-scale gigs and festivals for companies including Apple Music, Live Nation, and the BBC. He has produced studio recording sessions as well as radio and television programmes, runs live gigs and events and has worked on gigs with some of the worlds leading artists and performers including Skepta, the Arctic Monkeys, and Kendrick Lamar.

He has developed a valuable and diverse skill set and good working relationships with a large community of musicians, producers, venues, and studios and utilises these skills to bring the best out of the next generation of musicians.

Joe is a Multi-instrumentalist, Session Musician and Live Sound Engineer. Joe has played as professional musician since the age of 17, in bands The Metros and the Fat White Family with whom he toured the UK and America.
Joe is an accomplished musician who is well-experienced in production and recording music in high-end professional studios and using a home-studio set-up with laptop and interface software. He teaches piano and guitar and has works with a variety of musicians throughout London, including a project scoring movie soundtracks.

Joseph Pancucci

Liam Thorne

Liam is a fully trained Studio Engineer at Voltaire Road Studios. He worked as an engineer for George Ezra amongst many others. He studied music production and engineering at University and is well-versed in mixing Live Sound. Liam is a highly competent Producer and mixing and mastering Engineer. He has worked with a number of artists and producers who have come through the Soundhouse project, fine-tuning their beats and helping to mix their tracks, providing technical support and in-depth education on mixing, mastering, and sound design.

Video Technician and Events Producer for Just Jam. Hakim works with DJ’s and emcees filming and producing original content from a studio space in Dalston.
Hakim has worked with the Soundhouse Project before and has filmed live gigs and recording sessions to build up footage for a longer film.
Hakim has offered his services as a contributor and mentor to young people who want to learn about film and streaming services.

Hakim Bahgalari

Jack Leonard

Jack is a multi-instrumentalist and producer who plays in UNKLE. He has recorded and performed with ESKA, A$AP Rocky and Primal Scream, as well as many other artists on a variety of projects (live shows, albums, and movie soundtracks).

His experience writing and producing music with high-profile professional musicians gives him a great insight into top-end music production and affords him a valuable set of skills and knowledge which he can impart to course participants during recording sessions.

Josh works with SNM studios in New Cross with some of London’s most cutting-edge new artists. As well as a producer, Josh is an artist in his own right and performs and tours regularly. He works with new artists at Soundhouse acting as a mentor to aspiring musicians and performers and teaching his intricate knowledge of production to new producers.

Josh Lobham (Lobzey)

Charlie Butler

Charlie is Music Producer and musician who is studying Music Production at Sheffield University. Charlie has produced and toured as a professional engineer and session musician and works with artists throughout the UK.
Charlie’s skills as a talented young producer are developing all the time and he is helping to develop artists and shape some incredible new music at the Soundhouse Project.

Fran is a Singer, Producer, DJ and Musician working as a solo artist and with UNKLE. Fran also works leading workshops at the Roundhouse in Camden and for other community projects throughout London, teaching music and production and inspiring the next generation of artists.
